The United States Secret Service has issued six agents for failures related to the murder attempt of the then presidential candidate Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, an official last year to ABC News.

Personnel movements were confirmed four days before the anniversary of the Single Incident of July 13, 2024 that left Trump’s earning ear.

A firefighter who attended the rally of the Trump campaign that day died in the attack and the gunman was killed by a sniper on the site.

Following the shooting, the reports showed that a series of police breakdown had created an environment that left Trump vulnerable to a possible murderer.

The director of the Secret Service at that time, Kimberly Cheflet, resigned 10 days after the shooting.

The discipline against the six agents was issued in recent months, and agents have the right to appeal. The suspensions ranged between 10 and 42 days, according to the official, who was informed about the agency’s actions.

The positions of the suspended ones went from the level of supervision to the level of line agent, said a source familiar with the decision of the agency to ABC News.
